God wants us to have confidence in our salvation- not to live in fear daily that our souls might not be safe. Here is how He gives us assurances.

Pastor John

John LaLonde Pastor John, Sermons

When anyone lives in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone! The new is here! All this is from God. He brought us back to himself through Christ’s death on the cross. And he has given us the task of bringing others back to him through Christ. God was bringing the world back to himself through Christ. He did not hold people’s sins against them. God has trusted us with the message that people may be brought back to him. So we are Christ’s official messengers. It is as if God were making his appeal through us. Here is what Christ wants us to beg you to do. Come back to God! Christ didn’t have any sin.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Even Strong Believers Have Times of Doubt

Paul knew this and sent Timothy encouragement during stressful times in his ministry. (2 Timothy 1:12)

God wants us to have confidence in our salvation- not to live in fear daily that our souls might not be safe. Here is how He gives us assurances.

1. Promises of God in Scripture

  • Titus 1:1-2
  • Colossians 3:1-4
  • John 5:24

2. The Holy Spirit

  • Ephesians 1:13
  • Ephesians 4:30

3. Evidence of a Changed Life

When we’re saved, the evidence is in a changed life. If your life is not notably different you need to do some self-examination and asking why your life has not changed?

Biggest change noticed in new Christians is their greater capacity for love.
